Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Games, Sci-Fi/Horror, Sports, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Ratings,
Although House was the night’s largest draw, FOX still came in second to NBC.
8pm
- 1 vs. 100 (7.2 million, 1.7/6) was down 700,000 from last week.
- Ghost Whisperer* (6.6 million, 1.7/6) spooked away 700,000.
- Bones* (5.8 million, 1.5/5) unearthed 200,000 more.
- Grey’s Anatomy (4 million, 1.0/3) remained steady.
- About 3.8 million joined Friday Night Smackdown (1.1/3) in the ring.

MONDAY (2/4)
- Welcome to the Captain (CBS, 8:30): Series premiere. “A Hollywood wunderkind in a career slump is persuaded by his friend to move into his famous Tinseltown apartment building with an eclectic group of tenants.” Eclectic = show gone soon.
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm): “John discovers the figure may be bleaker than he imagined.” I’m confused. If he’s currently in 2007, he should have already seen what the future looks like in Rise of the Machines.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS, 9:30): Season Three premiere. “Christine gets overly nervous about sleeping with Mr. Harris (Blair Underwood) for the first time.” I think I already saw this episode…..on Sex and the City.
- Late Night With David Letterman (CBS, 11:30): Hillary Clinton sits down with the talk show host. Any woman who can make us forget Paris Hilton deserves to be President.

Despite a slate of original programs, NBC barely won the night in viewers. The network also ended up tying CBS in the demos.
8pm
- 1 vs. 100 (7.9 million, 2.0/6 in 18-46) was the evening’s most-watched.
- Ghost Whisperer* (1.8/6) scared up 7.3 million.
- Bones* (5.6 million, 1.5/5) was up by 200,000.
- Friday Night Smackdown (1.4/4) pinned down 4.6 million.
- Grey’s Anatomy (4.1 million, 1.1/4) rose a few notches.

MONDAY (1/28)
**Live coverage of the State of the Union Address (9 PM Eastern) will alter many schedules. Double-check your local listings for times.**
- Dance War (ABC, 8pm): “One contestant from the losing team is ousted after the first round of competition.” Those remaining will learn Bruno’s ‘I’m Still Standing’ routine.
- Gossip Girl (CW, 8pm): Pilot repeat. Late-comers can finally learn why Gossip is this season’s guiltiest pleasure. (And when I say ‘gossip’, I mean the show, of course.)
- In Treatment (HBO, 9:30: Series premiere. New therapy drama airs 5x a week with a different patient every night. Apparently Gabriel Byrne can’t handle them all at once like the masterful Dr. Drew.
- Making the Band 4 (MTV, 10pm): Diddy brings back all the winners and throws them together in one house. If they end up killing each other, he can finally start anew.

A new Garth Brooks special drew a large crowd to the Eye Network last night. Meanwhile, NBC’s repeat-free Friday was a winner with the demos.
8pm
- 1 vs. 100 (8.8 million, 2.4/7 in 18-49) was the most-watched show of the evening.
- Ghost Whisperer* (7.1 million, 1.8/6) was down 2.8 mill from last week.
- Bones* (1.6/5) unearthed 5.4 million.
Friday Night LightsFriday Night Smackdown (1.4/4) tapped out at 4.9 million.- Grey’s Anatomy* (1.1/4) flatlined with 3.9 million.

MONDAY (1/21)- Prison Break (FOX, 8pm): “T-Bag enlists Bellick to display his gladiatorial skills once again as the battle between Lechero and Sammy for control of Sona comes to a head.” If they can’t beat American Gladiators, FOX will encourage its characters fight like ‘em.
- Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann (ABC, 8pm): “Viewers cast their first vote for their favorite teams after they perform live song-and-dance routines.” They’ve finally reached the phase I actually care about.
- Wildfire (ABC Family, 9pm): Season 4 premiere. I have absolutely no idea what this show is about, but it sounds like a trashy romance novel. Oh wait - this is a family channel. Never mind.
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm): “John and Cameron try to fit in a new school.” Is an education really the most important thing for John at this point? Shouldn’t he be honing his street smarts or something?

A night full of repeats helped CBS continue its reign over Friday nights.

MONDAY (1/14)
- Prison Break (FOX, 8pm): Season resumes. “Michael suffers the consequences of solitary confinement, Sona-style.” I hate to think we left him in there these past few months.
- Kyle XY (ABC Family, 8pm): Second season resumes. “Kyle returns to the Tragers to tell them truth about his existence.” Maybe ABC should consider stealing this show to fill their schedule. Otherwise, I’ll never get around to watching it.
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm): Regular day and time. “John grows restless and sneaks out of the house to track down Charley Dixon.” Maybe they should have recast Edward Furlong. He would have filled this punk role perfectly.
- CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm): Actress Elizabeth Berkeley guest-stars as Horatio’s ex and Kyle’s mother. Wouldn’t it have made more sense if she was on the regular CSI? Then they could have linked it back to her Showgirls years.
