Fandango Wants to Compete on ‘DWTS’

Fandango

WWE Superstar Fandango wants to be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

The 32-year-old wrestler is a fan of the program and if the opportunity arose to compete on the ballroom show he'd jump at the chance. Fandango - who uses ballroom dance moves in the ring and is always accompanied by his "dancing partner" Summer Rae - first got into the series when fellow WWE Superstar Chris Jericho competed on it in 2011. When asked if he'd like to compete on the series, Fandango told BANG Showbiz, "I would like to give it a go, I just need the right partner - maybe a lingerie model! I've watched Dancing with the Stars, I watched when Chris Jericho was on it, I think it's cool. It's always cool to see the stars - whether they're a football player or an actor, an actress, a model, whatever - put into that situation of crunch training to try and win the show. How they deal with the pressures and their egos of not being really good at it is interesting to see."

Bruce Jenner Joining ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Bruce JennerBruce Jenner is eager to be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

The 64-year-old retired athlete, whose stepchildren Kim and Rob Kardashian have both previously competed on the reality series, is in talks to take part in the upcoming 18th season. "He's dying to do it. The show is close to locking him in," a source said.

Meanwhile, the Olympic gold medallist's sons Brandon and Brody Jenner are said to be very supportive of his recent decision to reduce the size of his Adam's apple. Bruce, who separated from his wife Kris Jenner in October after 22 years of marriage, reportedly underwent a "laryngeal shave" procedure in Beverly Hills on Sunday to soften the feature of his neck, which is typically done on patients who are in the first stage of gender reassignment.

"The boys don't think their father is trying to become a woman and simply laugh at rumors. They do believe that Bruce became more conscience of his physical appearance and how he looked after Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered. They blame their stepmother [Kris] for all of the plastic surgery he has had over the years. Kris always encouraged Bruce to have his face nipped and tucked. He has had plastic surgery to remove excess fat above his eyelids. The Adam's apple surgery is just following in that pattern," a source said.

Nicki Minaj Storms Off ‘American Idol’

Nicki MinajNicki Minaj threatened to quit American Idol after her favorite act was voted off the show. The "Starships" rapper - who sits on the singing competition's judging panel with Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson - was left fuming after singer Curtis Finch Jr. landed in the bottom two and was sent home Thursday night.

After host Ryan Seacrest announced that Curtis and fellow contestant Devin Velez had garnered the least viewer votes, an angry Nicki pleaded, "I definitely think Curtis should not be in the bottom two. I mean, I love Devin but I think that Curtis, if you look at every one of his performances, I mean - come on, America, are you kidding me? Curtis, if you go home, I go home."

The 30-year-old musician stayed true to her words, jumping out of her judge's seat and attempting to storm off set as Curtis was eliminated, but she was instructed to return to her chair by fellow judge Randy Jackson.

Nicki Minaj Late to ‘American Idol’ Due to Traffic

Nicki MinajNicki Minaj was late for American Idol last night because she was stuck in traffic. The judge appeared to miss the evening's first performance by Curtis Finch Jr., but while she wasn't in her seat to give him her thoughts on his singing, he claims she heard him.

"During the performance, she was backstage," Curtis - who performed Fantasia's "Believe" - told E! News. He added the star almost ran into her as he stepped off stage, adding, "It was literally like, 'Step, step, step, curtain, Nicki. And she was like, 'Good job today.' To see her backstage was comforting."

Some of the other contestants noted Nicki has fallen foul of Los Angeles' notoriously bad traffic before. "It's not the first time and probably not the last. But I'm OK with it. I love Nicki," Paul Jolley said.

Burnell Taylor, who sang Westlife's "Flying Without Wings" on the show feels Nicki has earned the right to be late if she chooses: "I mean, when you look that good, you have to be late."

Demi Lovato Attacked for Auto-Tune Singing

Demi Lovato at 'The X Factor' premiereDemi Lovato was slammed for her use of auto-tune on The X Factor last night.

The "Skyscraper" hitmaker had agreed with fellow judge Simon Cowell when she criticized pop hopeful Shawn Armenta telling him perhaps a singing career wasn't for him. "A lot of people work really, really hard for their dreams, but it's not meant for everybody," she said. The 50-year-old wannabe responded by saying, "That's why you use auto-tune and I don't."

New judge Britney Spears marked her debut in a big way, challenging music mogul Simon for his position as harshest judge. She leaped to the defense of Demi, telling Shawn, "I feel uncomfortable with you even staring at me." The 30-year-old pop superstar heavily criticized performers throughout the auditions, telling fitness instructor Amy Gibson that she was "kind of bad."

‘Tough’ X Factor Judge Britney Spears

Britney Spears at 'X Factor' auditions in KansasBritney Spears is an "incredibly tough" judge on The X Factor.

The "Toxic" singer is part of the new line up on the US version of the singing talent show, and doesn't give budding singers an easy time if their renditions aren't up to scratch.

"She's got a really good instinct, and when she loves something, she looks like she wants to dance on the desk. When she doesn't like someone, she is incredibly tough," a source said.

Britney's harder side was revealed at the show's auditions in Kansas at the weekend, where she starred on the panel alongside Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Louis Walsh, who had stepped in from the UK version of the show to replace Simon Cowell, who was taken ill with bronchitis.

"You have to be great to be on this show, so I vote no," Britney told one contestant, according to the source.

Simon Cowell Blasts The Voice

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, Gossip,

Simon CowellSimon Cowell has taken a swipe at The Voice.

The TV mogul is currently judging hopeful singers for the second series of The X Factor in the US and told one contestant they would be better off auditioning for rival show The Voice - where the judges don't see what contestants look like before they pick them.

After the singer's audition, fellow panelist L.A. Reid told them, "If you decide to try out again, please do it on another show."

"Yes, the good news is I hear The Voice auditions are happening next week," Simon added.

This is not the first time Simon has blasted the rival show, having previously said he thought it would be better as a radio show: "That show [The Voice] puzzles me because it starts off and 'it's all about the voice.' So my first thought is: 'Why isn't this on radio?' because what's the point in looking at them. Then suddenly I'm watching it a week or two weeks ago and it's the same as The X Factor. They've got dancers behind them, graphics, lights. Same show. I see a lot of shows trying to rip us off. If you try and rip somebody off it always looks like a bad copy."

Will.i.am’s Travelling Affects ‘The Voice’ Contestants

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, BBC, Gossip, Rumors,

Will.i.am on The VoiceWill.i.am's international lifestyle is apparantly causing The Voice contestants to lose out on valuable coaching time.

The Black Eyed Peas' star's frequent trips from the show's base in the UK to the US means that all competitors on the show are affected because of BBC rules. The television network bosses say the other coaches can mentor their acts ONLY when Will.i.am sees his, to ensure fairness. His acts told last week how they saw him for just two half-hour sessions in the run-up to the opening live episode.

Yesterday, coach Danny O'Donoghue's acts revealed how their time with the script frontman had been limited by the new ruling.

"If Will is out of the country, we aren't seeing Danny. All the mentors have to do equal amounts," contestant Bo Bruce told The Sun.

"We all get the same amount of time. The coaches fit it round their schedules. We only started doing our songs on Monday -- we found out what they were at the same time as the other teams but they started on them and we were in the dark on what we were doing with them," Max Milner said.
