After 10 weeks and 14 models, America’s Next Top Model: Cycle 11 finally came down to the Top Three.
Which lady eventually found herself with an Elite Model Management contract, a Seventeen spread/cover and a $100,000 CoverGirl contract? Was it McKey (the boxer who evolved into a woman), Analeigh (the skater who figured out how to use her body) or Samantha (the girl who once offended a designer but turned things around)? Read on!

On this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, the four remaining ladies - Analeigh, McKey, Marjorie and Samantha - got to to take things to a whole new physical level. When they weren’t learning to sell products with gestures and facial expressions, they were busy planting their lips on a hunky male model. One girl even spent some of her free time kissing someone who wasn’t in the industry. But we’ll get to that drunken story a little later…
For this week’s lesson, the women got a little more one-on-one time with Paulina Porizkova. It was the former supermodel’s job to show the ladies how to sell products without using their voices. How does a spokesmodel sell fish when no one can smell it? How can they make toilet paper look soft when consumers can’t touch it? How can they make phone conversations seem exciting when the reader can’t hear them?

After weeks of lessons, runway shows and photo shoots, we finally got to “see” what the ladies of America’s Next Top Model were made of tonight. Followers of the show know what that means: it was time for the Final 5 to go on their go-sees.
Before heading out on their journeys, the models met with Frederick Koster, the managing director of Touché Models. After explaining the evaluation process - the girls would be judged on their portfolios, their walks, their appearance and their personalities - Koster gave the women maps and directions. The goal was to meet as many designers in the allotted 4 hours as possible. If they did not make it back to the agency on time, they would automatically be disqualified.

I was starting to feel like this day would never come. The day when only six remained on America’s Next Top Model 11. (Does anyone even remember the name of the show’s first transgendered contestant??) Just as a reminder, the girls chosen to represent America in Amsterdam were Analeigh, Elina, Marjorie, McKey, Samantha and Sheena. Did anyone manage to embarrass us on their first day there? Read on!

Even though it had been two weeks since the last original America’s Next Top Model, it was like no time had passed. Joslyn was still frustrated by her downhill slide, Sheena was still frustrated about not being considered “modelesque” and the unemotional Europeans (a.k.a Elina and Marjorie) were both still frustrated about being misunderstood.

On this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model 11, the girls learned that modeling wasn’t just about showing up and looking pretty. It was about discovering who you were and not being afraid to let go. It was about knowing your best traits and embracing your warts.
Given Clark’s recent elimination, the remaining eight ladies realized they couldn’t afford to take their critiques for granted. Elina still had to overcome control issues, Lauren Brie had to deliver a personality and Analeigh needed to find her niche.

On this week’s episode of Americas Next Top Model 11, the girls learned how quickly the game could change. With just one roll of film, a model could either sink to the bottom or vault to the top.
Who was confident that they could change…and who was confident that things wouldn’t change? Read on!

Just when I thought I had seen everything on America’s Next Top Model, the producers decided to throw in a new twist. And surprisingly, it didn’t have anything to do with Tyra. This week, one girl was eliminated before reaching the show’s halfway mark. (No photo shoot, no judges panel…nada.) Make no mistakes—Season 11’s gonna be ruthless!
In this episode, the women were finally given the chance to show off their version of a runway walk. But since simple strutting down an actual runway would be too easy, Miss J had to spice things up a bit. This time around, the ladies were taken to a bowling alley where they were given special high-heeled bowling shoes. (Cue Hannah: “I didn’t even know they made stuff like that!”) Since models are often asked to walk on different types of surfaces, the challenge was to master the slick bowling lanes.

What is traditionally one of my favorite parts of America’s Next Top Model was once again tainted by an overdramatic – and unnecessary – Tyra performance. Couldn’t she just let the makeover episode speak for itself? Couldn’t she let the cameras focus on the actual competitors?
When the girls returned home from the last elimination, they were surprised to find their head judge waiting inside for them. While there was a purpose for Tyra’s presence, the hostess used the opportunity to display her tiara and her lame acting skills. After explaining how she and her mother “made over” her modeling career (she turned to Sports Ilustrated when she was deemed too fat by high-fashion designers), she then told the ladies that it was time for their makeovers.

On this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model: Cycle 11, the ladies learned the importance of making a good first impression. One girl said a few things she shouldn’t say, one girl placed a product in a place she shouldn’t put it, and another girl put off her roomies thanks to an off-putting remark.
But what does any of that have to do with modeling, right?
