Emma Stone Pokes Fun at Her Nerd-Friendly Image

Emma Stone, or “that cute redhead the nerds like," offered up a low-key but solid Saturday Night Live performance over the weekend. Stone has been seen in Superbad, Zombieland and Easy A -- as her monologue pointed out -- and will play Spider-Man’s love interest in the upcoming reboot.

Stone, 21, handled the gig like a pro, effortlessly breezing through a monologue that helped her poke fun at her image as a nerd idol. Stone delivered both deadpan and quirky comedy, receiving strong support from the SNL cast throughout the episode.

View the entire monologue, one of the high points of the episode, in the clip above.

Denzel Washington, Mark Zuckerberg Get SNL Treatment

SNL‘s Andy Samberg channeled his inner geek to spoof Mark Zuckerberg Saturday night. Samberg delivered jokes about youth culture and Facebook, the central theme of the hit movie .

Samberg’s wasn’t the only impersonation of the night (it would hardly be SNL without several to choose from). A new cast member offered up an impression that was so spot-on, the audience didn’t know whether to laugh or just stare in awe. Follow the jump to view the video.

Jane Lynch Shines on SNL

Everyone expected the to be hilariously funny, and somehow she managed to exceed all hopes.

From her singing monologue to her singing football skit, Lynch was one of the best hosts in SNL history … and yes, she spent some time delivering funny one-liners, too. View the video above to watch Lynch’s monologue, wherein she sings a new theme song for Glee.

New SNL Cast Members Poke Fun at Pop Culture

New cast members Vanessa Bayer and Paul Brittain managed to get themselves noticed during last weekend’s broadcast.

In a skit featuring host-for-the-week Bryan Cranston, Bayer offered up “The Miley Cyrus Show,” which starred the teenager as an over-enthusiastic talk show host. While Bayer’s impersonation was a little over-the-top, the skit did give faithful viewers the chance to get a real taste of two of the show’s newest cast members.

Katy Perry Pokes Fun of Sesame Street Controversy on SNL

Katy Perry has mocked her Sesame Street axing by appearing in a breast-baring Elmo T-shirt on Saturday Night Live.

The pop star appeared in a sketch on the comedy series wearing a low-cut top inspired by the red puppet and tiny plaid skirt. Katy played a volunteer librarian, named Maureen Dichico, whose large breasts were causing a stir at the local library.

Parodying the famous announcement at the end of each Sesame Street episode which reveals what letters and numbers featured in the day’s program, Katy’s sketch co-star quipped, “Looks like today’s show is brought to you by the number 38 and the letters DD.”

UPDATE: Insiders are that Linds won’t be appearing on SNL after all. Funny that the whispers arrived on the same day reports about two failed drug tests did.

Lindsay Lohan’s dance card is filled with post-jail and post-rehab commitments until November, but her schedule will open up a little just before the new year. How will she celebrate her extra free time? Why not with a hosting stint on ?

Linds is reportedly in talks with the famous variety show to perform as the host on the December 4 episode. Lindsay Lohan isn’t the most popular person the show could snag, but the situation is rife with comedic possibilities.

The actress has already proven that she’s capable of poking fun at herself. Lohan hilariously hosted the show on May 1, 2004. Back then, she was sweet seventeen and about three years shy of her first rehab stay.
