Fans Try to Save Moonlight

Moonlight cast

Just a few weeks ago, CBS finally put an end to one of their struggling sophomore shows, .  Now supporters of Moonlight are hoping that their cult favorite will not see that same fate.

Although the program is scheduled to return with four new episodes come April 25, the drama has not yet landed on network’s renewal schedule.  Realizing a peanut-filled campaign helped to bring back the vehicle, die-hard fans are once again banding together to keep their new fave from bleeding out.

Although American Idol was slightly down from last week, the network basically doubled its nearest competitor - ABC - with both the viewers and the demos.

This Week on TV (3/24-3/30)

The Hills

(You can view TV Envy’s Post-Strike Television Schedule here.)

MONDAY (3/24)
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30):  The overly-promoted Britney Spears cameo finally airs tonight.  Let’s just be happy the show is only 30-minutes long.
  • Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm):  Nicole Scherzinger gives the girls tips on vocal expression.  Sadly, advice on releasing solo albums is not something she can dish out.
  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  New episode.  “A bride is murdered at her wedding.  The investigation takes the CSIs to a strip club where the bachelor party took place.”  Strip club? This would be the perfect time for another Elizabeth Berkley appearance.
  • The Hills (MTV, 10pm):  Season premiere.  I wonder if LC wore any of her own designs in Paris.  Doubt it.

CBS Not Renewing Jericho

Jericho

Sorry, fans - your beloved show has officially come to the end of its run.  CBS finally announced today what many had already anticipated:  The program will not be coming back next year.

This news means next week’s episode will be the season - and series - finale.  Thankfully, the producers were prepared for this possible development.  Two endings were created in hopes of giving devoted viewers some sense of completion.  Unfortunately, I don’t believe Jericho could have ever ended the way anyone wanted it to.

Despite its dominance on Monday, DWTS couldn’t outperform the crew at American Idol.  The 9pm overlap flattened the ballroom champ and put ABC in second place for the night.

Big Brother 9 Day 15: Inexplicable Jericho Tie-In

Posted by Jacci Lewis Categories: Prime Time, Reality, CBS, Editorial, News,

Big Brother day 15My thought of the night is that only on could they figure out a way to cross-promote a drama about post-apocalyptic America () on a trash reality show about being stuck in figurative purgatory with amoral people you can’t stand and who are probably out to get you. Then again, maybe that is what post-apocalyptic America will be like? Hmmmnm, maybe we’re in post-apocalyptic America right now?

Anyway, the headlines from Big Brother 9 Day 15 are:

  • Sharon and Joshuah won “power of veto” but chose not to use it to save either Amanda and Alex or Natalie and Matt.
  • Both Allison and Amanda became ill at the same time and had to go to the hospital though not for the same reasons.
  • Sheila just might be crazy.
  • The women are stuck in bikinis for a week while the men get to wear regular clothes.
  • Amanda just might be a Republican who endorses GOP presidential nominee front runner John McCain.

The show began with Amanda, the paralegal from Fridley, Minnesota,  saying she isn’t surprised James and Chelsia nominated her and Alex for eviction because they are by far the strongest competitors. Alex believes everything is Amanda’s fault and that she is the only reason he was put up on the chopping block. Amanda tried to reach out to Alex saying he should keep a positive attitude. Alex basically told her to get lost and that she is the only one he is mad at.
