There is no doubt they will once again host a memorable Golden Globe Awards celebration!"

Neil Patrick HarrisNeil Patrick Harris will present the 2013 Emmy Awards. The How I Met Your Mother actor - who previously hosted the awards in 2009 - will take over for the ceremony on September 26 this year, just a few months after he presents the Tony Awards in June.

"I couldn't be more honored and excited to be hosting this year's Emmy Awards. And what perfect timing - I'll just do the exact same script I'm about to use for the Tonys. 'And the Emmy for Best Revival of a Musical goes to Breaking Bad!' See, told you it works," he said.

CBS Entertainment chief Nina Tassler added, "Neil is the quintessential host - engaging, entertaining and a true showman - with a passion for celebrating the medium we all love. We're thrilled for him to return for CBS's broadcast of the Emmy Awards."

Neil has hosted the Tonys twice, with one stint in 2009 earning him and the production team an Emmy Award.

Sofia Vergara and Julie BowenJulie Bowen is jealous of Sofia Vergara. The Modern Family actress is envious of her co-star's natural grace and femininity, and admits she feels like a tomboy next to the super confident and seductive Latina star.

"Sofia is just so comfortable with herself. She knows who she is and she has accepted it full. I've always felt like I've straddled this line between being a tomboy and I guess if you dress me up just right and put on the right bra I can sort of look girly, but I always feel like I'm playing dress up. Sofia's one of the first women I've spent a lot of time with who's just so female and so completely at ease with herself and the power that comes with that and the money she's made with it," she explained.

During awards season, the cast members all submit themselves for the Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories instead of Leading, and Julie confessed she was devastated when she won in 2012 and Sofia didn't. "When I won the Emmy the first year, I came over to her and was about to cry because I thought she should have it and she said, 'Now you listen to me, you do not apologise for this, this is yours, you take it. Next year its mine, but now it's yours.' I love that person," she said.

Amy Poehler and Tina FeyTina Fey hopes the celebrities at the Golden Globe Awards get drunk and embarrass themselves.

The 30 Rock star will co-host the ceremony with her friend Amy Poehler, but the duo believe alcohol will help make the night more entertaining and are hoping those attending will drink lots.

"Because it's such a fun kind of sloppy night, it's not really about the host giving any kind of big comedy performance. It's our job to keep things moving and also try to get the movie stars more liquored-up so that hopefully someone's boob will fall out of a dress. That's our main role. The luckiest we could get would be for something interesting and spontaneous to happen. We have a lot of spontaneous things planned," Tina said.

However, Parks and Recreation star Amy joked she is going on a pub-crawl before the ceremony on Sunday: "I'm going to pub-crawl it all the way to the venue and then try to take a two-hour blackout nap before we start, and then as soon as the show is over, I'm going to go on a 10-day juice cleanse."

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey

Much to the delight of 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation fans, comedic besties Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host this year's Golden Globe Awards, replacing Ricky Gervais, who has hosted the awards ceremony for three consecutive years.

The pair - who were Saturday Night Live co-stars and worked on several projects together, including Mean Girls and Baby Mama - have known each other since their pre-fame days working with Chicago's Second City improv troupe. One can only imagine the laughs the two comediennes will generate when they take to the hosting stage on January 13.

The 32-year-old star of TV show New Girl was named as a contender for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series yesterday.

"I wanted to be an actress since I was two years old. It's always been my dream and ambition. This is the kind of moment you dream about. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that I could have this incredible honor and recognition. It's just so exciting," she told Entertainment Weekly.

Her co-star Max Greenfield also received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

"I have such a great job that's just such an incredible gift, and I always want to be doing the work because I love the work and not for some other reason. [But] it just means so much to have this nomination," she added.

Mad Men

Mad Men and American Horror Story lead the nominations at this year's Emmy Awards with 17 each.

The advertising drama is hoping to gain its fifth Best Drama win, which would make it the only series ever to have won the accolade that many times. At present it is level on four victories with Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law and The West Wing. Other nominees in the same category are Breaking Bad, The Good Wife, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, British Drama Downton Abbey and newcomer Homeland. Downton Abbey - which was awarded Best Miniseries in 2011, but has switched categories for 2012 - picked up 16 nominations.
