Hybrid PA BagLive Luggage, the company that made the first power assisted suitcase, has now come out with a lightweight Hybrid PA Bag, which features a removable laptop case and overnight bag. The case features the company’s “anti-gravity” handle that pivots and is height adjustable so that 85% of the weight is balanced on the bag’s wheels. Motors are built into the wheels to help over inclines or rough areas. Rechargeable 12V NiMH batteries power the Hybrid PA that can go for about a 1.5 mile trek. The bag will be available this April for £695 (~$955.00.)

Clothing is becoming smarter all the time. O’Neill’s NavJacket can upload and share your ski runs with others at over 180 United States and 420 European resorts. The jacket has an LCD display, e-textile keypad and GPS unit built into its sleeve. Those who lose their buds while skiing can use their friend-finder to get back together. Richard WagonerIt seems that at least one of the “Big Three” of Detroit finally has caught on. Yesterday at the NAIAS, GM’s CEO G. Richard Wagoner Jr. announced that it is opening the first U.S. lithium-ion battery plant. They will be making them to go into their Chevy Volt, due out in 2012. GM has already invested over a billion dollars in the eco-friendly vehicle. They will also be erecting a research facility. This is good news for those who live in the beleaguered state in terms of jobs and better news for those who want to go green and do it American.

Runflier StalkerRussian Designer/Inventor Alexander Begak has designed the Runflier Stalker, the next generation of his Evolution. The airborne vehicle takes off from a short runway and can travel almost a thousand miles without refueling at a speed of up to 124 mph. It is made of Kevlar and weighs only about 300 lbs. Because it is made of the plastic material, it is invisible to radar and can take photos both day and night, as well as perform mapping and patrolling duties. Look for the Stalker in a war near you.

Nextar NXBT-002Pay attention, people of California. It is now illegal for you to use your cell phone while driving unless you have a hands-free device. Nextar, located in the same state, has cleverly released two solar Bluetooth kits, the NXBT-001 and 002. Each clips to a sun visor and recharges in standby mode. The 001 provides 250 hrs.of standby and 10 hrs. of talk time. It has an LED signal display, supports A2DP and AVRCP and comes at a price of $59.99. The 002 has 6 hrs. of talk time and 150 hrs. of standby with a backlit LCD display and caller ID. Its price is $69.99. Both will debut at the CES and come out in the spring.
