Subsidized $99.00 Acer Aspire One
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Corporate News, Hot Deals, Internet, PC / Laptop,
Such a deal. AT&T and Radio Shack have announced special pricing on the Acer Aspire One, the mini 3G laptop with 8.9-inch display, Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. Here comes the deal part. Purchase before December 24 and you get it for $99.99. The catch? A two year commitment and a LaptopConnect data plan which starts at $59.99 a month. That equals out to about $1440.00 over the time period. We checked out Radio Shack’s site, but they aren’t talking online so you will have to visit the store personally.

Yesterday, Logitech announced that it shipped its billionth mouse, although it hasn’t gone very far as yet. Around since the 80’s, the company claims that it sells 7.8 million per month in about 100 countries. To celebrate the event, Logitech is backing a contest that allows anyone to follow Billie the mouse’s journey and try to figure out where it will end up. Holiday Gift Guide 2008: Slacker G2
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Features, Hot Deals, Music, Portable Audio / Video, Techies, Teens, Under $250,
We’ve been big fans of Slacker since we saw it earlier this year at CES. Now, we were big fans of the Slacker Internet radio service, but that meant you had to keep Slacker in your browser. With the Slacker G2, all that Internet radio goodness is now portable. So, why the Slacker G2 over a regular MP3 player? Well, first off, the owner doesn’t have to pay for the music. You don’t even have to use a computer to transfer music to the device, as that can all be done with the devices itself. It connects to the free Slacker service over Wi-Fi, and will update itself with music whenever it has a connection. The 4 GB Slacker G2 supports 25 stations, and retails for $199.99. You can pick one up at Amazon.
