Had to give you guys a quick heads up on this one. Newegg is currently selling a 1 GB 200-Pin SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Notebook Memory module for only $107 USD. For those not in the know, that is a great deal. I just picked one up for my PowerBook G4, which will bump it up to its max capacity of 1.25 GB. Comcast Raising Cable Internet Speeds

Good news for those of us who are serviced by Comcast for cable and high speed Internet. Beginning in July, Comcast will be upgrading subscribers speeds by a whole 2.0 Mbps at no cost. If you currently subscribe to at least Comcast Expanded Basic Cable TV service or above, the following HSI options are available to you:
6.0/384 - $42.95 - Up from 4.0/384
8.0/768 - $52.95 - Up from 6.0/768
As Comcast just recently upgraded their network just a few months ago, a second speed increase leads me to believe that they are feeling the heat from services like Verizon FIOS.

Because of lapsed or improperly registered copyrights, even some very watchable movies - among them, Howard Hawks’s “His Girl Friday,” Marlon Brando’s “One-Eyed Jacks” and Francis Ford Coppola’s “Dementia 13” - are now in the public domain and can be sold by anyone.”

Linksys WRTP54G VOIP Wireless Router

Linksys (Cisco) and Vonage have announced a deal that allows those who currently own a router of any type to get a new WRTP54G combo 802.11g router/switch/hub/TA if they sign up for a new Vonage VOIP account. The router drops the black and blue Linksys look in exchange for the more modern silver style seen in the WRT54GX Pre-N MIMO router. While it looks good on paper, there are a couple of things you should know. First, this only works on Vonage for now - so if you get this router, you shouldn’t expect the ability to switch VOIP providers and maintain its usability. The other thing is that it can take up to three mail in rebates before the router is actually considered free.

GreenZap PayPal’s Competition? Get $25 Free

A new online payment service is set to launch this summer, and from what I am hearing, GreenZap has some big plans for their debut. While many have soured over how Paypal has treated them, there hasn’t really been an online payment service that has stepped up the the plate and become virtually universally accepted. This is what GreenZap aims to change. They state that they are here to take on Paypal, and lead the way for electronic payments. They will be accepted by eBay, Yahoo! Auctions, and many other online entities.
