Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone

Samsung just announced its new Galaxy S III smartphone at its Mobile Unpacked event in London, and it's straight up impressive. What can you expect from the new flagship Android device? Here's the rundown:

The Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display, which is the first eye-catching feature you'll notice on this smartphone. On the inside, you'll find an Exynos 4 1.4 GHz quad-core processor alongside 1 GB of RAM. On back you've got an 8 megapixel camera, and on front, a 1.9 megapixel shooter for all those self-pics and video chats. This one is obviously powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz on top, and Samsung has done a lot of work at adding some amazing software features as well. In addition, you can charge the Galaxy S III wirelessly using resonance technology. Wi-Fi (with channel bonding!), Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS are also on-board. This is a really impressive phone.

The device will be available in two colors: Pebble Blue and Marble White, with 16, 32, and 64 GB models. Initially, it'll be a 3G HSPA+ device that launches on May 29th in Europe, but an LTE version will be available in North America, Korea, and Japan later this summer.
