Silent Hill Movie Shots

The movie to one of the scariest games ever made is looking good. Seems they are really trying to replicate a lot of the scenery that fans of the game are accustomed to. This is a nice change from the movies that are loosely based on the games content that they are trying to recreate. It will be interesting indeed to see how this one turns out. Burnout is one of those games that is just plain fun to play - and keep playing. Its stylized destruction-centric gameplay approach is always a blast – even if you only play it to cause the AI’s cars to crumble into pieces. Burnout: Revenge is the sequel many people are waiting for which will be released later this year for the PS2 and the Xbox. GamePlayMonthly has some nice screenshots of both versions that are looking mighty promising.

True Crime: Streets of NY

Activision has announced that the sequel to the popular game “True Crime: Streets of LA” is to be followed up in the Big Apple. As a matter of fact, they claim that the streets of Manhattan will be more accurate than any game ever made. To add to the realism, they will even program more Asians in Chinatown, tourists in Times Square, and more. As a resident of New York City, I hope they don’t forget to put street entertainers and people handing out flyers on busy streets. What they can leave out: rush hour traffic.

Destroy All Humans Review

For the past week I have been playing my favorite new game, Destroy All Humans for Xbox and PS2. I chose the Xbox version of this Pandemic studios game. These folks made Star Wars Clone Wars and Star Wars Battlefront. Check the full review after the jump.

As if it wasn’t bad enough we have to listen to that Jamster Frog in TV commercials and on cell phones, Digital Jesters, the company responsible for the annoying frog, has announced that they have inked a deal that will land the Crazy Frog in a couple of video games. The UK firm holds exclusive “worldwide interactive entertainment” rights with the frog, and will release the first game for PC and PS2 later this year. The game, “Crazy Frog Racer” will have frog and friends thrown into an arcade-style racing game and hits shelves in Europe in November, with the rest of us seeing it some time early 2006.

Circuit City Games Clearance Starting on 7/3/05

Starting Sunday morning, Circuit City will be having a blowout sale on select Video Games for $9.99 each. The sale is much like the one they had last year where games were only $4.99, but it seems that they are a little more organized this year because many stores have already pulled the games off the floor to prevent people from buying them early. Ghost Recon 3’s Official Name: Advanced Warfighter

Tom Clancy’s latest creation finally has an official name – Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. The game will feature a new way to lead your team and will have advanced technology in all aspects of the equipment used. The game will be released this holiday season for every major console including the PC – sorry, no Mac version. Each version will offer something exclusive to that console – reminds me of Soul Calibur. Here’s a little snip of the background to the game:
The game is set in the year 2013 in Mexico City, which has been overthrown by an insurgence of rebels. The famed Ghosts must head into the capital to squash a rebellion and retake control of the metropolis. Gamers will lead their squad on missions to “save the president of the United States, recover stolen nuclear codes, and eliminate a vicious band of renegade soldiers hell-bent on unleashing catastrophe.”

E3 2005: Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks

Mortal Kombat fans get ready because Midway is releasing yet another title of this huge franchise. This time is a little different, because now the game is played almost like the previously used “Konquest” mode. You experience the Mortal Kombat II world as either Liu Kang or Kung Lao. The characters will each have 10 different fatalities, weapons, interactive environments, and customizable characters. Jump down for some screenshots.

E3 2005: Chicken Little Impressions

I love platformers. In fact, if I had to choose one game type to play for the rest of my life it would be platformers. Because of all this love I have for platformers there is one thing I hate more then anything else, including Rockstars games, is a bad platformer. Most kiddie platformers, like Tak, are just bad. So bad that I have giving up all hope that there might ever will be a good children’s platformer. That all changed when I saw Chicken Little at E3 - find out why after the jump.
