Plantronics Discovery 975 is classy Bluetooth Headset

It would appear that Plantronics Discovery 975 has gone for the classy crowd rather than the typical guys who just want the cheapest headset available.

With noise cancellation, wind protection, a nice carrying case, and loopless ear fitting, it looks like it would adorn the ear of the highest of classes, while maintaining the semi-affordable price of $130. You can pick one up over at Amazon.

Modula therapy lamp changes colors via Bluetooth

Okay, we get it, watching colors change on a lamp is supposed to be therapeutic, but aren’t these soothing treatments supposed to get us away from our technology-overtaken lives? Modula doesn’t seem to think so, as their therapy lamp allows you to manually change the colors with a -enabled, device like a mobile phone.  Yeah, I don’t know exactly how it works either, but if you want to find out for yourself, feel free to lay down $281 for it.  It might be more expensive than a relaxing fish tank, but at least it will have less maintenance.

Wi-Fi PacemakerThese days, everything from our mobile phones to our s have WiFi capability, so why not put it in a device where it really matters, like a pacemaker?  Apparently, a New York woman was the first to receive such a device, and it is designed to upload any troubling stats tol her doctor should it pick up anything abnormal.

We like seeing technology used to keep people safe, and this saves time as well, since most of her normal tests are now done on the fly, with results delivered without an appointment needing to be made.

Look forward to , XM Radio, and even connectivity to all be included. This is definitely a sign of the times, as just about even mobile phone sold today supports Bluetooth, and that can only result in a bit more safety on the road.

Logitech Unifying Receiver

I’m certain that many of you have the problem of too many devices and not enough USB ports.  Fortunately, is helping to solve this problem with their Unifying Receiver.  It is basically a wireless dongle that is designed to work with many new Logitech products including the K350/K340 wireless keyboard ($59.99/$49.99), as well as the Marathon Mouse M705/M505 ($69.99/$49.99).  Granted, Bluetooth could do the same thing, but those devices are a bit more expensive. We like where Logitech’s mind is at, so kudos to their forward thinking.

Novero TheFirstOne

I’m not certain if the Novero TheFirstOne really is the first headset that the company has put out, but it certainly is a good start if it is.

TheFirstOne features dual-microphone noise cancellation, three-way calling, plus voice dialing with one button press, as well as a talk time of 4.5 hours.  You should be able to purchase it now for about $149 with a car charging cradle, a necklace, a desk stand, a wearable clip, and seven interchangeable ear loops.
