Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift is being sued over a cancelled concert.

The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" hitmaker is facing a lawsuit after being paid in advance to headline a country music festival in Canada which has since been cancelled, reports TMZ. Promoters for Capital Hoedown - which was due to take place in Ottawa in August 2012 - reportedly failed to put the concert together in time and it was subsequently nixed. Now the company which sold tickets for the event feels Taylor, 22, should use her sizeable fee to refund $1.8 million worth of ticket purchases, according to documents filed in New York federal court.

The singer's representatives contest, however, that her deal was not with the ticket company and thus she is not liable for the refunds. They also claim they have not yet seen the lawsuit.

Taylor has had previous brushes with the law; in 2010 she was reportedly sued by former manager Dan Dymtrow for breach of contract. He claimed he signed the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer aged 14 and helped her launch her career, but her family conspired to fire him before he could earn a commission from her sales.

98 Degrees

Fans of the nineties boy band 98 Degrees - which consists of Nick Lachey and his brother Drew, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre - will be happy to know that the group will be putting together a new album. The quartet, who are set to go on tour with their nineties peers New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, recently appeared at Full Sail University, where Timmons opened up about getting back together with his old friends:

"We took a break, but we never broke up. We always thought we'd get back together someday. When we first got together, we started singing acapella. It felt very natural. We're all friendly. We haven't kept in touch like we should have, but when we get together, it's like old times."

Travis BarkerTravis Barker can't get past his horrific plane crash.

The Blink-182 drummer has apologized to fans for missing the band's upcoming Australian tour, that kicks off in Sydney on Wednesday and admitted he is still haunted by the crash in 2008, in which four people died, and hasn't been able to board a plane since.

In a heartfelt message on his Facebook page on Saturday night, the rocker said, "I'm sorry to announce I won't be joining Blink-182 on this Australian tour. I still haven't gotten over the horrific events that took place the last time I flew when my plane crashed and 4 people were killed, two being my best friends. I gave the band my blessing to take another drummer if they still wanted to do the tour without me. I hope to come to Australia again some day perhaps by ship if need be. Unfortunately, there wasn't a boat that worked with the schedule this time around. Once again I'm sorry to all the fans."

The 37-year-old rocker suffered second and third degree burns in the crash, in which he and his good friend DJ AM - who died of an accidental overdose less than a year later - were the only survivors.

Justin TimberlakeJustin Timberlake likes to "create another world" with his songs. The "Suit and Tie" singer immerses himself in his tracks while in the studio and aims to create different characters to tell the songs from their viewpoints.

"Music is for dreamers. You should be able to create another world that you can live in. I'm not gonna speak for Bob Dylan - he's one of my idols - but from my perspective as a fan, it seems to me that he started creating music that made him feel like another person and that's what it should do. [The studio] really is one place that you can still go to that you can be completely free. You can lock yourself in a room and make a whole other world."

The star added he feels his skills at creating characters for his songs have got better during his six year hiatus, when he has concentrated on his acting career:

Fun.Fun. originally wanted Rihanna to appear on 'We Are Young'.

The group's biggest hit - for which they won Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards last Sunday - features Janelle Monae, but they admit they initially thought Rihanna's vocals would work better on the track.

"They said, 'Who can we get? And I said, 'let's get Rihanna.' We were shooting for the stars on everything and she was kind of a muse. But everything works out for a reason and Janelle Monae worked out to be the perfect choice. She brought the right element of a great soulful flavour that we wanted for the album," producer Jeff Bhasker told MTV.

Although Fun. were an almost unknown act at that time, they were dreaming of pop stardom and reportedly had pictures of Rihanna on their studio wall. Jeff said the 'Diamonds' singer had heard the track, but never got around to recording vocals for it. "Someone tried to reach out and I know she heard the song and liked it. But I think some wires just got crossed," he added.

Kanye West and Will Smith

Kanye West has recorded a duet with Will Smith. The "Stronger" rapper and the Men In Black star were both recently in Brazil for the Rio Carnival and while they were there, they went into the studio together to lay down a new track.

The pair met in the studio of DJ Batutinha - producer and close friend of singer Naldo - and decided on a "funky" tune, which pays tribute to their time in the South American country. DJ Batutinha Brazilian said, "Kanye was keen to get to learn more about the funk in Rio and a DJ friend of mine referred him to me. Will and him went to the studio to get to know the sonority of the funk better. I spoke to them about Naldo and his production, and they thought we could all work out something together and launch this new project."

Dave Grohl of the Foo FightersFoo Fighters have a new album almost ready for release. Although the rock the group are currently on hiatus, they have no plans to disband and have a collection of songs ready to record and unveil to the world.

"We've been a band for almost 20 years. When it feels like you're walking in the sand, it's time to go home. But we have pretty much an entire record ready. Once we're set, we'll make a huge stink about it," frontman Dave Grohl said.

Even the "Best of You" hitmakers have been having a break Grohl has still been busy on other projects and he admits working with Paul McCartney is one of the highlights of his career. The singer teamed up with the Beatles legend and his former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear on "Cut Me Some Slack" after previously recording with Paul for his documentary on California's iconic Sound City studios and he admits it was honor to make music with one of his heroes: "I remember rehearsing with him. He comes in and just wants to jam. He's willing to go off more than most younger musicians."

Thom Yorke of RadioheadRadiohead are preparing to record a new album. The "Lotus Flower" band will regroup at the end of the summer to start work on their first new tracks since 2011.

"We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer," bass player Colin Greenwood told BBC Radio 6 Music.

Radiohead - Colin, brother Johnny Greenwood, Thom Yorke, Phil Selway and Ed O'Brien - released their eighth album, The King Of Limbs, in 2011 and played a world tour last year. The band are currently taking a break while the individual members work on different projects.

Perhaps the band will take a more commercial direction with their next album, as Thom has previously admitted The King of Limbs divided their fanbase: "I can see why it's alienated people. I didn't realize it was on its own planet. It was amazing just to put the record out like that. But then it didn't feel like it really existed. But that was the consequence of what we chose to do. You can either get upset about it, or say, 'well, that's not good enough.'"

Deadmau5Deadmau5 "f***ing hates" Kanye West.

The "I Remember" dance music icon has hit out at the rapper, ruling out ever teaming up with him on a track. When asked who he would like to collaborate with, he told Vibe magazine, "Anyone other than f***ing Kanye. I f***ing hate him."

The 32-year-old Canadian DJ also dismissed the term "EDM," short for "Electronic Dance Music" - the scene he is associated with -saying, "Yeah, I just renamed it. I called it 'Event-Driven Marketing.'"

The outspoken star also said that if he were ever in trouble the first person he would reach out to would be Motley Crue's drummer: "If I'm having problems with my label, I can always talk to Tommy Lee, who's been sued more times than anyone I know. It makes my life not feel so f***ing bad."
