One Direction on The Today Show

One Direction have become the first British group to enter the US charts at number one with a debut album.

The "What Makes You Beautiful" hitmakers - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - made history by selling more than 176,000 copies of their Up All Night album since its release last Tuesday.

"We simply cannot believe that we are number one in America! It's beyond a dream come true for us. We want to thank each and every one of our fans in the US who bought our album and we would also like to thank the American public for being so supportive of us," Harry said.

Nicki Minaj: Saturday Night Live Scene Stealer

Mark Zuckerberg may have surprised Saturday Night Live viewers with his appearance last night, but it was a different guest who actually showed some hidden comedic talent.

Nicki Minaj, who at one point joked about marrying Drake, had the audiences laughing by playing Kenan Thompson's wife in "The Bride of Blackenstein."

Earlier in the program, the singer contributed her musical skills to Andy Samberg and Lonely Island's latest Digital Short: "The Creep." (You can see that clip after jump.)

Could there be an acting future ahead for Minaj? I wouldn't be surprised.

Paul McCartney Plays Tribute to John Lennon on SNL

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Performances, Videos, Rock,

Sir Paul McCartney helped to create one of SNL’s most memorable episodes over the weekend.

In-between appearing in skits, McCartney took to the stage no less than four times to perform several hits -- but the most poignant was definitely when he honored former bandmate and collaborator John Lennon. This year marks the 30th since the rocker’s death, and McCartney played tribute by playing “A Day in the Life” and Lennon’s own “Give Peace a Chance.”

Watch (and listen!) in the video above.

Although is widely known for its inconsistency, there are a few things you can safely predict from the program. If Justin Timberlake is making an appearance, you can expect him to do some sort of musical performance with Andy Samberg. If is a guest, you can expect her to do the same.

On last night's SNL broadcast, the singer helped provide one of the few bright spots of the evening -- a reunion with "Shy Ronnie." After checking out the "Ronnie and Clyde" sketch above, you can rewatch their first digital short after the jump.
