Jamie DornanOne English actor's discarded role is another Irish actor's treasure!

As Charlie Hunnam walked away from the coveted gig to portray Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan has swiftly taken his place. The 31 year-old Once Upon a Time star was actually one of the first actors to be considered for the role before Hunam was officially cast.

The UK actor - who previously dated Keira Knightley - screen tested with Dakota Johnson last Friday for director Sam Taylor-Johnson, author E.L. James, and producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti. Sources also claim that Billy Magnussen and Francois Arnaud also tested with Johnson.

Negotiations with Dornan are currently underway, as the fimmakers are looking to start production in November.

Jessica LangeJessica Lange is set to retire from acting. The Oscar and Emmy Award-winning actress has announced she will leave her glittering career behind after four decades and numerous accolades to pursue a quieter life.

"I am coming to the end of acting. I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of American Horror Story, and then that is it for me. Because I think that's enough. I want to go out with a bang... or should I say, a scare?" she told the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

The 64-year-old star has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity as the leading lady on anthology show American Horror Story - co-created by Glee mastermind Ryan Murphy - in which she plays a new character each season. Jessica earned an Emmy Award for her role as Constance Langdon in the first season and a further nomination for her role as Sister Jude Martin in the second run, subtitled Asylum.

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman would love to live and work in the same place.

The jet-setting Thor: The Dark World star is "envious" of her British co-stars who are able to live and work in the same city because more and more Hollywood productions are making use of London's production studios: "I love working here in London and I'm envious of British actors and British crews because American actors, we end up like gypsies - movie to movie, moving cities every time. But you can have such a fulfilling, wonderful, rich career here between the theatre, the TV, and the film all in one place. It's pretty cool to get to live and work in the same place."

The 32-year-old beauty - who has two-year-old son Aleph with her husband Benjamin Millepied - also said her mother Shelley Hershlag, who is her agent, often lends out family photos of her as a child to decorate the sets of her films, but joked her mum keeps using the same ones. "I guess the funny thing is that it is the same set of photos she always lends out for every movie I've done for the past 20 years. There's a lot of characters that shouldn't have the same experiences and family photos, but do. Also, all sorts of people have been Photoshopped into them - there's some interesting ones of me and Tobey Maguire from when I'm young, but not real, of course," she explained.

Gravity

While Halloween might be only a week away from Thursday, movie-goers this weekend opted for the space film Gravity over the remake of Carrie and the sequel to Insidious, helping it maintain its top spot at the box office for the third consecutive week in a row.

The Sandra Bullock and George Clooney sci-fi thriller took in $30 million, staying ahead of Captain Phillips, which placed second with $16.4 million. Carrie (2013) and Escape Plan debuted respectively at number three and four with $16.1 million and $9.8 million. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 came in at number five - dropping two spots from last week - with $9.6 million.

Joe JonasJoe Jonas wants to move into acting.

The singer has broken his silence following rumors the Jonas Brothers - the band he plays in with siblings Kevin and Nick - have split up after their Twitter account was deleted, although he refused to talk about their future and potential break-up: "I'm not going to talk about that right now ... I think acting would be fun. I would like to [get into that]."

Speculation of the band's demise has been circulating following their social networking profile being taken down, and it is said the rift has come from major musical differences. Jesse Derris, spokesperson for the boy band - who formed in 2005 - previously said, "There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."

The "SOS" trio are still said to be close and on "speaking" terms, despite their US tour being cancelled following a major argument. "It's not a personal fight, it's about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking," a source added.

Stephen BaldwinStephen Baldwin thinks his strong religious faith has had a negative impact on his career.

The 47-year-old actor, who avoided going to jail earlier this year after reaching a deal to pay back a $350,000 tax bill in installments, believes his outspokenness about being a born-again Christian "creeped" casting directors out over the past 10 years, but hopes his new movie will turn things around for him.

The I'm in Love with a Church Girl star told Fox News, "I ran into an old friend of mine - very high-profile casting director - a couple years ago who said to me, 'Look, I just want to say I'm sorry because I've brought your name up in the room a couple times and they were like ' you've got to be kidding.' I just think that probably when somebody calls themselves born again and kind of goes out there in a pretty radically zealous way, professes their glee about that, it can creep people out. I have no regret about that, but I have chilled out a lot more because I'm a little more seasoned as a Christian believer."

Jennifer LopezJennifer Lopez has reportedly quit a movie because producers refused to only cast actresses less attractive than her.

The 44-year-old star is said to have dropped out of The 33 - based on the true story of the trapped Chilean miners - after bosses wouldn't agree to cut people for being "too sexy." A source told the Daily Star, "J-Lo kept going through the hundreds of casting photos and whenever she spotted a female who looked too sexy she'd slash a big, black X across their face."

The singer-and-actress has a reputation as a demanding star, but in the past she has hit back at claims she is a diva. "I think people love to look at them [riders] and go, 'Oh my God she wants M&M'S ... she's crazy!' I think everyone has their list of things that make you feel comfortable ... like a certain kind of potato chip or water. I think the crazy ones are made up," she recently said.

Jennifer has even admitted she felt "insecure" about her career, taking a while to accept that she deserved her success: "I was always so insecure. Then I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I'm not a mistake - I work my ass off. And I know what I'm doing."

Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer LawrenceJosh Hutcherson finds it weird to kiss Jennifer Lawrence.

The Hunger Games hunk gets the giggles when he has to switch on the romance for love scenes with the Oscar-winning actress - who plays fearless competitor Katniss Everdeen in the fantasy franchise - because they are such good friends in real life.

"It is. There are times when we've had to cut because we can't get through a take without laughing," he told Glamour when asked if it's strange to have to seduce his pal Jennifer.

The 20-year-old actor fell for his own girlfriend, actress Claudia Traisac, while filming upcoming thriller Paradise Lost and he thinks it's natural to develop feelings for your co-stars: "As far as I'm concerned, you're both actors, you understand each other's lifestyle, so it's a very natural thing to have happen."

Tom HanksTom Hanks doesn't re-watch his own films.

The 57-year-old star - who has starred in many beloved movies such as Splash, Catch Me If You Can and The Green Mile - prefers not to watch himself on screen time and time again because that "would be madness."

"Oh, I don't watch any of my old movies. I don't watch my own performances - who does that? That would be madness. I've seen all the movies once, but I don't need to see them again, because they don't change."

However, there is one film which he makes an exception for, his 1996 musical comedy That Thing You Do! which he wrote, directed and starred in as band manager Mr. White alongside Tom Everett Scott who played the film's protagonist Guy Patterson: "The one that I might watch with great affection is That Thing You Do!, which I'm not in that much. I loved doing it so much that when I watch it now it still brings a smile to my face."
