Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand in 'Rock of Ages'

Russell Brand's onscreen smooch with Alec Baldwin was "one of the greatest kisses" he's ever had.

The pair locked lips in new movie Rock of Ages and Russell joked he enjoyed their kiss so much that he deliberately made mistakes so they could do multiple takes: "Alec Baldwin has been one of the great kisses of my life. Like, to be honest, in the first few takes I deliberately made it go wrong just so I could kiss him more often. I'd go, 'Oh sorry, I was wearing a baseball cap in the scene. Oh sorry, I think I stumbled, I opened my eyes.' So they did take after take, kiss after kiss, and I thought if I keep kissing that man, eventually I can make him love me."

Simon PeggSimon Pegg wants to be a Bond villain.

The Star Trek actor believes he is too regularly cast as a good guy in films and would love the opportunity to play an iconic baddie such as Dr. No, who was famed for his love of felines.

"I generally get hired to play nice people but I'd love to play a bad guy. I'd like to be a Bond villain and I like cats so it would be great to have a job that I had to hold a cat a lot. My wife is allergic so I don't get to spend a lot of time with cats."

Simon, however, may have a problem with the sexy Bond girls in any such film as he has previously stated he has to remind himself he is married when he is working around Hollywood beauties: '"I get to work with a lot of lovely girls. I have to keep reminding myself what a wonderful wife I have. When you have to kiss Kirsten Dunst and Megan Fox, it's an odd profession to be in. You have to remember it's not because they like you."

The Vow and The Notebook

Channing Tatum thinks that his kiss with Rachel McAdams in The Vow wasn't as good as hers with Ryan's Gosling in The Notebook.

The 32-year-old actor is up for the Best Kiss accolade at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, but isn't confident his smooch in the film is of the same caliber that his 31-year-old rival brought to the romantic scenes.
Ryan and Rachel, 33, won in the same category in 2005 and recreated their lip lock on stage while accepting the award.

George LucasGeorge Lucas is still planning to retire.

The Star Wars director is hoping to give up on Hollywood and make small scale movies at home for his own enjoyment.

"I'm moving away from the company, I'm moving away from all my businesses, I'm finishing all my obligations and I'm going to retire to my garage with my saw and hammer and build hobby movies. I've always wanted to make movies that were more experimental in nature, and not have to worry about them showing in movie theaters," he told Esquire.

George, 68, has made similar claims in January, and previously in 2005, when the final Star Wars film to date, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released. While many take the director's words with a pinch of salt - as he is widely expected to keep working as a producer on Hollywood films, including a possible new Indiana Jones movie - it is unlikely he will make any new Star Wars films, possibly after criticism he received over the three films in the franchise he made between 1999 and 2005 and his re-tweaking of elements in the original movies, shot in the 70s and 80s.

"Why would I make any more? When everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?" he said at the time.

Bane and BatmanChristian Bale thinks Tom Hardy is a "phenomenal" actor.

The 38 year old actor claims his talented The Dark Knight Rises co-star "knows his s**t," but says the heavy costumes meant the pair didn't get much interaction.

"Tom is phenomenal. He's an extraordinary actor. If I were a director I would want Tom to be in my movies. He knows his s**t. But it's a funny distance that you have in these movies, literally, by being cocooned by a cowl. I don't truly feel like I've worked with Gary (Oldman), even though we've done three movies together. And likewise with Tom, we're both behind these masks. He's feeling the isolation as well. It's a strange feeling. So we agreed after this we'd like to work with each other on something one day!"

Christian reprises his role as Batman in Christopher Nolan's follow-up to The Dark Knight, and Tom plays arch-rival Bane. Nolan is insistent this will be the final time we see Gotham City.

CosmopolisRobert Pattinson was cast in Cosmopolis because he didn't understand it.

The British actor plays billionaire tycoon Eric Packer in the movie - set in a futuristic New York, which is in turmoil because of the decline of capitalism - and thinks being "lost and confused" when reading the script worked in his favor.

"It's funny, I kept saying when I read it, 'I can't understand,' I told David [Cronenberg, director] I didn't understand it. I kind of still, I watch it and I want to imagine something else, and I guess that's how I was trying to play it, like just imagining something as something else the whole time, and not being able to identify it. David quite quickly realized that what he liked was when I didn't have any idea what I was doing, like I mean I was sort of sitting there, completely lost and confused, and he was like, 'That was the one!'"

One Direction

One Direction want to make their own big screen version of Romeo and Juliet with Niall Horan playing the female lead.

The boy band - who were formed on UK TV talent show The X Factor - would love to branch out into movies and have their sights set on putting their own twist on William Shakespeare's classic romantic tragedy, which tells the story of star-crossed lovers who take their lives after their families ban them from seeing each other.

Sylvester Stallone and Robert De NiroRobert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone are officially in talks to star in Grudge Match.

The pair are favored by director Peter Segal for the boxing movie - which tells the tale of two rival boxers who are tempted back into the ring for one last bout despite neither of them having fought for years -and are currently negotiating their roles, according to entertainment website The Wrap.

The comedy, which was first announced in 2010, will see the pair go head-to-head in the ultimate boxing face-off. Doug Ellin, the creator of popular TV series Entourage, has been chosen by Warner Bros to write the script. The movie is expected to begin filming next year.

"Stallone and De Niro are expected to come on board as they're both fans of the director and have both sent themselves up in comedies in recent years. If they go head-to-head in the ring it will certainly be a little piece of Hollywood history," a Hollywood insider said.

Both actors are well known for portraying boxers in the past - Stallone, 64, has appeared in six Rocky movies while 67-year-old De Niro won an Oscar for his portrayal of Jake La Motta in Raging Bull.
