Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, THQ, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
For those of us who wait with baited-breath for new playable content to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace, we can now breath easy while we download the latest demo. The Outfit demo is available in all Xbox Live regions, which rocks because this one is multiplayer (up to 8 people) if you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. Silver members get to play as well, but they get an offline experience. Here are some level details:
Name: Estate Assault
Game Type: Strategic Victory
Overview:
•After a coordinated offensive - Allied Command has commandeered a French villa just across the river from the Axis HQ.
•Choose your side (Allies or Axis) and squad leader to play (3 from either side; 6 total) and lead your squad into battle to destroy the enemy’s HQ, while defending your own.
•Capture strategic points located throughout the map to earn Field Units (F.U.s) – that can be used on the fly to call in Destruction on Demand™ - air-dropped into the action at any time. Everything can be called in from tanks, jeeps and half-tracks to squad reinforcements, machine gun nests, anti-tank guns and even air-strikes on enemy positions.
This one weighs in at 440.89 MB.

Xbox 360 Full Auto Demo Available Now
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Action, Driving, Release Dates, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
Earlier today, we were pleasantly surprised to log into Xbox Live and discover that SEGA’s Full Auto demo had been released. After a few minutes of downloading, we jumped right into the game. The main concept behind the game is this: get behind the wheel of a car and race to the finish line - while firing weapons at your opponents, utilizing boost, and gaining air.
Unfortunately, the play experience wasn’t as smooth as you’d hope it’d be. Reportedly, some 360s freeze when the game’s booted up. We didn’t have a problem with freezing though, and we doubt most people will. However, while the gameplay is a lot more polished than what was shown at E3 last year, it’s still not great. The frame-rate isn’t perfect and the controls seem off. Additionally, the game simply doesn’t have the sense of speed that other great races have. Still, the demo’s free and you might as well check it out. Full Auto hits February 14th.

If you’ve been waiting for a new Xbox Live Arcade game, you may want to boot up your 360 now. Earlier today, GarageGames’ Marble Blast Ultra was released on the Live Arcade. We downloaded the game earlier, and we are impressed. The goal is to move a shiny marble around, navigating through platforms, collecting goodies, jumping, and reaching goals. This one will cost you 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Overall, there are 60 single player stages as well as a multiplayer mode.
Xbox Live Arcade Top 10 Sellers
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
IGN has reported the top ten best selling Xbox Live Arcade games. We can say we are surprised at the game that took the number one spot…
- Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
- Gauntlet
- Smash TV
- Bejeweled II
- Zuma
- Bankshot Billiards
- Outpost Kaloki
- Mutant Storm Reloaded
- Joust
- Wik: Fable of Souls
It’s good to see a variety of games (both old and new) on the list, but we’re looking forward to seeing more games being released on the Arcade in the new future, because in all honesty, there aren’t that many Xbox Live Arcade games available quite yet.

EA Releases Fight Night 3 Demo on Xbox Live
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Sports, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
Get onto your Xbox 360 right now to download the Fight Night 3 demo. EA just put the demo up and it’s incredible. Even though I’m only playing it on a standard definition television, I’m floored by how great it looks. I wish I could see it on an HDTV though! But in the meantime, whether or not you’ve played the previous games in the series, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

Xbox Live Marketplace: Condemned Demo and Outpost Kaloki Fireworks Challenge
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, First Person Shooters, Strategy, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
Finally, after a drought of about a week, more new content has been added to the Xbox Live Marketplace. First, is a demo of the Sega thriller Condemned. We have been having a great time playing the retail version of the game, and if you haven’t played it yet, grab the demo quickly. There is also a new Outpost Kaloki X challenge that looks to be free of charge, centered on creating a fireworks station. Probably capitalizing on the New Year season, we like this one. Outpost Kaloki X is like the old-school lemonade stand game on steroids.
Mission Impossible Trailer Debuts on Xbox Live
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Trailers, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Marketplace,
Just recently, Paramount Pictures unleashed the brand new Mission Impossible III trailer onto the Xbox Live Marketplace. The trailer is naturally available in 720p as well as 480p, just as the recently released X-Men 3 teaser trailer was. Both sequels hit theaters next May. It’s funny, the first next-gen gaming console has been released, and we’re using it substantially to download movie trailers, videogame demos, and cheap arcade games. We’re all for complete online integration though, so we’re loving it!

Online Gaming Revenues to Triple by 2009
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Corporate News, Internet, Xbox Live Marketplace,
In a recent release, marketing research firm Parks Associate announced that online game revenues will triple between now and 2009. Currently, online game service revenues stand at $1.1 billion. They’re expected to jump up to $3.5 billion in 2009. With the significant leap, we can only expect to see more and more games online. Furthermore, it looks like Microsoft’s on to something with the Xbox Live Arcade and other media content available online. Based upon five year console cycles, the PS3, Xbox 360, and Revolution will be the consoles on the market, so if you’re looking to ride the wave of online gaming into the future, “Jump In” now -or, once you’re able to at least.
