Is Lindsay Lohan Too Broke for Betty Ford?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Drugs, Drunk, Legal Issues, Rumors,
It will cost Lindsay Lohan a whopping $50,000 to dry out at the Betty Ford Center until January 3, per her court-ordered term. Linds is a celeb, and it should be no problem … but reports are circulating that the bill is too high for her to pay.
Lohan’s probation report states that her “clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product.” Linds will also have to wait until she leaves the clinic to receive any money from her film project Inferno, in which she plays a famous porn movie queen.
But wait … didn’t she make a lot of money from all the movies? Celebrity Net Worth suggests Linds has about half a million net, but rumors of money problems have plagued the actress for years. An April report suggests that Linds amassed an amazing debt of $1 million on her credit cards, and her current Betty Ford stay is definitely not her first rehab stint. Being addicted costs money … and stopping the addiction doesn’t come cheap, either.
So, will Linds be kicked out of the Betty Ford Center? Not likely. Like as not, Lohan is still a celeb -- otherwise, why would we care if she’s broke? -- and has all the potential to get back on top.

Michael Lohan to Press: We’re Through
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Videos,
“After serious thought and conversation last night … with all due respect to those who have both gotten on my nerves for reporting things that weren’t true, (as well as things that were), I want to make a public statement that I will not be commenting on ANYTHING relating to my daughter Lindsay [Lohan], or ANYTHING my ex wife Dina, or any ‘sources’ related to her, might say.”
Michael Lohan released that statement out of nowhere this week, just days after multiple comments to the press regarding his role in his daughter’s life. “I realize how my statements and actions have had a ripple effect on [my family]…the things I have said and done, have caused hurt, pain and embarrassment for all of them.”
Just to be clear, Lohan added: “I WILL NOT respond, in ANY way to what is said or done, to me.”
Lohan ended his statement (which we’ve paraphrased in the interest of brevity) with a polite request that no one contact him again. He sent his statement to CNN, one of the least-watched news agencies in the world … and frankly, we expect to hear from him again very soon.

Michael Lohan Talks Fame, Therapy and Lindsay in New Interview
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: D-List, Child Stars, Drugs, Legal Issues, Videos,
Blogger Perez Hilton recently sat down with Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, to conduct an in-depth interview about the price of fame…and all those who are close to it. Lohan talked at length about daughter Lindsay, and his own motivations where she is concerned.
“I genuinely wish Lindsay Lohan to get well,” Perez started out by saying, before he began to tear into Michael. “Some would criticize your methods for trying to get her better,” he pointed out.
“You don’t know how long I tried to deal…without reaching out to the media,” Michael Lohan defended himself, declaring “family therapy … is what Lindsay needs.” He added that if Linds would agree to family counseling, he would never speak out about her publicly again … but then he added, “Has everything I’ve said proven true?”
“That doesn’t make it okay,” Perez countered quickly.
“I don’t care what people think. I care what God thinks,” Michael Lohan answered. “I know I’ve been wrong when I spoke out … but one thing is clear. I love my daughter. I love my children.”

Lindsay Lohan Wants Probation Shortened
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Drugs, Drunk, Legal Issues, Rumors,
As if it’s surprising: Lindsay Lohan is trying to shorten the terms of her probation.
The troubled star’s legal team want the length of the court-ordered terms - which are presently scheduled to run until August 2011 - lessened, as they fear she will “get in trouble” before the period ends. Lindsay is presently in the Betty Ford rehab center in Los Angeles, following two spells in prison this summer; serving 13 days of a 90-day jail term in July before briefly being returned in September after failing drug tests, although she was released hours later on $300,000 bail.
“The longer Lindsay stays on probation, the increased chances that she will get in trouble because of problems staying compliant with the terms of her probation. The only person that can modify terms of Lindsay’s probation, or terminate it early, is Judge Elden Fox.”
Lindsay could again face a return to prison, as she is due in court on October 22 for a probation hearing, after her failed drug tests, which could see her incarcerated again for violating the terms of her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction. Friends of the star have said she isn’t worried by this prospect, however, and is prepared to return to jail. “The fact is jail doesn’t scare Lindsay. Before she did her time earlier this summer, she was petrified. Having spent time behind bars, it doesn’t have that effect on her. Jail isn’t a deterrent for her, period,” one source said.
Email Addict Lindsay Lohan
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Drugs, Drunk, Rumors,
In addition to the drugs and alcohol, Lindsay Lohan is being treated for an addiction to email.
The Machete actress - who voluntarily entered into a substance abuse program at the Betty Ford Clinic in Los Angeles late last month - has reportedly had her phone usage cut, with staff also urging her to reduce the amount of time she spends on social networking websites.
“Lindsay is only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends. Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively email her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter,” a source said.
The policy has been implemented so Lindsay can “concentrate on herself” during therapy. Lindsay is due in court on October 22 for a probation hearing, after she failed two drugs tests last month.

Lindsay Lohan Visits Shelter, Heading Back to Rehab
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Drugs, Kind Acts, Legal Issues, Videos, Paparazzi Videos, Rumors,
Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to bad publicity. The Razzie-winning actress famously failed two drug tests, was recently sent to jail twice and can’t keep her family problems out of the press. What’s the best way to counteract all the big, ugly headlines? How about with a few much nicer-sounding ones?
On the heels of her latest release from LA County, Linds has announced that she will be returning to rehab. Sources say she will “do more” treatment than what she was ordered to do recently (when her court-ordered rehab stint was cut short because she made such a huge improvement … remember?). In the meantime, Lohan is back to wearing an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet. Hmm…do they make a cocaine-monitoring bracelet?

Lindsay Lohan Gets More Jail, No Bail

Her exit also looked a bit different from what we had seen in the past.

Predicting Lindsay Lohan’s Future: To Jail, or Not to Jail?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Drugs, Legal Issues, Rumors,
Former film star Lindsay Lohan goes back to court Friday to face the music - and the verdict - for violating her probation and failing two separate drug tests. The star, recently released from a 17-day jail stint and a shorter turn in rehab, tested positive for cocaine and amphetamines.
Per the terms of her probation, Linds could be sentenced to a 30-day jail sentence for each infraction. However, new courthouse whispers suggest that Lohan won’t spend even a single night in the pokey. Lindsay’s crimes are misdemeanors, which means bail will be set - and it will definitely be paid ASAP.
But that doesn’t mean the actress is totally out of the woods. Lindsay Lohan will go before the judge again in October for her probation violation hearing, where it is very likely she will be sentenced to 30 days for the first positive drug test (cocaine). Even so, the LA jails are still highly overcrowded, so it’s doubtful Linds will serve even one day of her 30-day sentence.
